About Your Hosts
Dave and Tre Templar turned their dream of running a Spanish B&B into reality after years of successful careers in the UK. Their complementary skills and shared passion for hospitality shape the welcoming atmosphere at La Buena Vida.
Dave's culinary journey began at 18 when he joined the army as a chef. Over his 22 years of service, he refined his cooking expertise and organisational skills in military kitchens across the world. After retiring from the forces, he brought his leadership abilities to Aldi as a store manager.
Tre's career at Aldi spans over 25 years, making her one of the company's longest-serving employees. Starting in 1998, she worked her way up to store manager by 2012, developing the high standards for service and attention to detail that now benefit their guests.
The idea of opening their own B&B had always appealed to them, but remained a distant dream until a visit to their Spanish relatives changed everything. That trip sparked the decision to create La Buena Vida, where Dave's love of cooking and Tre's dedication to immaculate spaces combine to create a thoughtfully run retreat.
Their family values extend into every aspect of La Buena Vida - they've even named each room after their grandchildren, adding a personal touch to the property. Married for 12 years, Dave and Tre bring their professional expertise and genuine love of hosting to every guest's stay.
